Fabrication in Progress: Three 72″ OD Tanks

Clayton, NJ – With an active project schedule, something is always happening in IWR’s 11,000-square-foot workshop.

Currently on the production floor, our team is working on a large-scale manufacturing project involving three 72” OD tanks. IWR is fabricating the vessels with 2:1 elliptical heads, SA-516-70 plate, and custom-machined flange pads and nozzles.

These vessels are being manufactured in accordance with the latest applicable edition and addenda of ASME Section VIII, Division 1, including the required 3:1 taper transition between the heads and shell.

Once fabrication is complete, the tanks will move on to sandblasting, exterior painting, and interior rubber lining. They are scheduled for delivery in early January 2027, or sooner, and will support municipal water services in Pennsylvania.
